1 min read

A Canton Township man faces criminal charges after he was accused of stealing more than $14,000 from residents at an assisted care facility.

Greene Washington Regional Police Department on Wednesday charged Quinn Christopher Wells with felonies of theft by deception and receiving stolen property.

Wells, 40, was the house coordinator for Pathways Residential Homes at 690 Hewitt Ave. According to the criminal complaint, between April 2024 and December 2025 he took support funds from two care-dependent residents.

Charging documents allege Wells took $9,793.58 from one resident and $5,137.06 from another.

According to the complaint, Wells used the money for meals, clothing and gift cards. Pathways conducted an internal investigation and questioned Wells about the missing funds, and Wells allegedly admitted to the theft. Wells was fired on Jan. 8.

Pathways replaced the money and is seeking restitution from Wells.

Wells has not been arraigned on the charges.
