Charleroi mother facing charges for poor living conditions
A Charleroi mother is facing charges for poor living conditions after her husband was arrested over the weekend.
Roldy Noel, 27, was charged Monday by Charleroi police with two felonies of endangering the welfare of children.
Jackson Alexis, Noel’s husband, was arrested Saturday following a medical call to their home in the 500 block of Rear McKean Avenue.
Charging documents allege that while police were at the home, Noel’s and Alexis’ daughter used a bucket to go the bathroom. Officers found the home had no running water, a broken toilet, a shower filled with brown water and garbage piled up in a corner.
According to the criminal complaint, the daughter and an infant son were initially released to Noel after Children and Youth Services declined to take the children into custody.
There is currently an active warrant for Noel’s arrest.
Alexis, 40, was arraigned Sunday morning and sent to the Washington County jail without bond by District Judge Joshua Kanalis. Online court records indicate that Alexis is not an American citizen.
