A large excavator sits perched along the sidewalk next West Beau Street in Washington just below the Courthouse Square as crews plan to begin demolishing the parking garage before eventually moving on to raze the six-story building once used as Washington County’s government offices. Crews brought in the machinery early Friday morning as they plan to begin the demolition work Monday.
