New Year’s Eve fire damages Canton mobile home

No one was injured Wednesday night when fire heavily damaged a mobile home in Canton Township.

No one was injured Wednesday night when fire heavily damaged a mobile home in Canton Township.

Firefighters were called to battle the blaze at 219 Key Ave. shortly before 8 p.m., a Washington County 911 dispatch supervisor said.

The mobile home sustained extensive damage and the siding on neighboring homes was melted in some places.

Canton Township firefighters were on scene for more than three hours and assisted by departments from Washington, Chartiers Township and South Strabane Township.
