Monessen man indicted on drug, weapons charges

A Monessen man was indicted by a federal grand jury Wednesday on drug and firearm charges.

Anthony Crews, 52, faces three charges of possession with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime and possession of a firearm and ammunition after being convicted of prior felonies.

According to the Department of Justice, on June 25 Crews was found to be in possession of crack cocaine and firearms.

Crews faces 10 years to life in prison, and a fine of up to $5.5 million.
