Courtesy of Washington County Devin Reed, left, gives Washington County government officials and other visitors a tour of the new Shawn Patrick House in Washington, named after his friend, Shawn Patrick Nairn, who died from a drug overdose at age 28 in 2020. The recovery house in the city was renovated recently thanks to the help of $350,000 in opioid settlement money given to Nairn’s family and friends in July as they planned to improve and operate the living facility for people in recovery from drug or alcohol abuse. Seven people are currently living in the house.
