CASA volunteers honored in Washington County
Kelley Swift, who is executive director for Washington County’s Court Appointed Special Advocates for Kids Inc., speaks Wednesday afternoon on the steps of the Washington County Courthouse thanking some of the 74 volunteers with CASA. She is flanked behind her by Judge Jesse Pettit, Washington County Bar Association President Tom Steele and CASA board member Corey Young, who were on hand for the special ceremony thanking the volunteers for their tireless efforts. CASA for Kids volunteers serve as advocates for the rights and well-being of children who are going through the courts system. [Mike Jones]
