Brothers J.C. Ciaffoni and Bill Ciaffoni are the recipients of the Distinguished Italian-American Citizen of Award that is presented annually by the Italian-American Cultural and Heritage Society of Washington County.

Each year, the society honors individuals of Italian-American descent in the county who have achieved professional success and have helped others through community service.

The Ciaffoni brothers are co-founders of All Ways Safe Flagging and Traffic Control in McDonald, which was launched in 2018. J.C. Ciaffoni has over 10 years experience in the auto industry and more than 16 years of service as a Pennsylvania state constable. Bill Ciaffoni is a member of Cecil Township’s board of supervisors.

Along with All Ways Safe Flagging and Traffic Control, the brothers co-founded Fuel Required, a dealership in McDonald that specializes in classic cars. Their “Dukes of Hazzard” vehicle collection has been featured in the Pittsburgh World of Wheels car show. They also host car cruises in the spring and fall every year.

In a news release, the organization said, “J.C. and Bill exemplify the spirit of the Distinguished Italian-American Citizen of Washington County honor. Their dedication to service, their community and their Italian heritage stands as a powerful example, and it is with great pride that we recognize and celebrate their contributions.”

They will be honored at the organization’s annual awards banquet May 21 at Julian’s Banquet Hall in Washington.
