A perfect fall weather day was on tap for Saturday’s annual Tractor Ride to benefit UPMC Children’s Hospital. Organizers Michael and Marin Andrews said 60 tractors and 300 people participated in the three-and-half-hour ride that started out at Flatwoods Community Park in Vanderbilt, and traveled through Perryopolis before returning to the park. The event concluded with lunch, Chinese auction and raffles. The Andrewses said the event is an annual tradition that is usually held the first or second weekend of October. The total amount raised was still being tallied Sunday, but last year’s ride generated $16,000 for the hospital.
