Grants available for first responders
The Washington County Community Foundation announces that $200,000 in grants is available this year from the Range Resources Good Neighbors Fund. Cumulatively, the fund has awarded over $770,000 to local first responder organizations.
“We commend our friends at Range Resources for proactively seeking ways to support our local first responders,” said Betsie Trew, WCCF President & CEO. “Our communities are made safer because of the generosity of Range Resources.”
All exempt nonprofit organizations providing emergency management services, such as fire departments and police departments, in Range’s core operating area are eligible to apply for a grant of up to $10,000. Applications will be accepted via the foundation’s online grant portal at www.wccf.net from Feb. 1 through Feb. 29. Eligible projects include support of an existing or new program or for equipment purchases.
“We are proud to support our local first responders who take great care to keep our neighborhoods safe,” said Range Resources Community Relations Manager Christina Kramer. “Thanks to fundraising efforts in partnership with our contractors and business partners, we’re excited to make our largest contribution yet in 2024.”
