One injured in Menallen Township shooting

A West Virginia man who allegedly shot his former employer Thursday morning was charged with attempted homicide and denied bond.
Fayette County District Attorney Michael Aubele described Grant Headley, 29, of Maidsville as a disgruntled ex-employee of Route 51 Auto & Truck Parts in Menallen Township. The employer, who was not identified, was shot in the leg around 8:30 a.m., according to Aubele.
Headley had recently been fired from the vehicle parts business, said Aubele.
After the shooting, Headley turned himself in at the office of Magisterial District Judge Daniel Shimshock in Masontown.
Headley was arraigned at 2 p.m. by Magisterial District Judge Mike Defino Jr. on charges of attempted homicide, aggravated assault, discharge of a firearm into an occupied structure and recklessly endangering another person. The complaint filed against Headley was not immediately available.
Defino denied bond with the reasons listed as Headley being a threat to himself or others, and a flight risk.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. Aug. 27.
