Police seize illegal products from North Strabane vape shop

North Strabane police removed a “substantial quantity” of illegal products from a vape shop on Friday and took the manager into custody.
According to a press release from the department, officers served a search warrant on Friday at Washington Vape & Tobacco located at 800 Wildflower Circle.
According to the release, police seized marijuana, THC products, counterfeit vape cartridges, psychedelic substances and drug paraphernalia.
Online court records indicate that North Strabane police arrested Hashem Abdulrab, of Washington, on Friday. He is facing felony charges of corrupt organizations and possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.
The criminal complaint against Abdulrab was not immediately available.
Police said that Washington Vape & Tobacco would sell products to “younger-looking” customers without checking identification.

Abdulrab also faces misdemeanor charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and operation of a drug manufacturing, distribution or retail establishment.
He was arraigned Friday night before District Judge Mark Wilson, who sent him to the Washington County jail on $50,000 bond. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 9:15 a.m. Aug. 26.
