Memorial moment set for fallen East Washington officer

By Karen Mansfield 1 min read

Community members are invited to gather with East Washington police on Friday, Dec. 19, at 11 p.m. at East Washington Memorial Park for a moment of silence in memory of police Officer John David Dryer, who was killed during a traffic stop 14 years ago.

Dryer, who also was a veterinarian and a firefighter, was shot during a traffic stop on Interstate 70, near East Beau Street, in 2011.

The moment of silence will honor the time of Dryer’s final call.
