“Good Trouble Lives On” rally planned

By Karen Mansfield 1 min read

Tens of thousands of people are expected to protest the Trump administration again on Thursday, the fifth anniversary of the death of former congressman and civil rights leader John Lewis.

At least 1,500 “Good Trouble Lives On” events are scheduled to take place across the country, including one at the Washington County Courthouse in Washington from 5 to 6:30 p.m. today.

Lewis was one of the most vocal critics of President Trump during his first administration.

Organizers say “Good Trouble Lives On” is a “national day of nonviolent action to respond to the attacks posed on our civil and human rights by the Trump administration.”

The event follows last month’s No Kings demonstrations that flooded the streets with thousands of people in cities across the U.S.
