Washington police investigating city shooting
Washington police are investigating after a man was shot multiple times in the city early Tuesday morning.
Officer John Hritz said at about 1:30 a.m. the man, who has not been identified, was shot multiple times in the 10 block of Shannon Avenue.
A passerby found the victim at the intersection of East Hallam Avenue and Ridge Avenue and called 911.
The man was flown via helicopter to an unspecified Pittsburgh.
According to Hritz, police have had no witnesses come forward.
“It’s an active investigation,” Hritz said.
