Washington man killed in motorcycle accident
A Washington man died Monday night after crashing his motorcycle on Interstate 79 in South Strabane Township.
Washington County Coroner Timothy Warco identified the man as 21-year-old Nathan Scott Boyd.
According to Warco, at about 8:15 p.m., Boyd was traveling south when he lost control of his motorcycle near the Meadow Lands exit.
Boyd was transported to UPMC Washington Hospital, where he was declared dead at 9:23 p.m. His specific cause and manner of death are pending further investigation.
South Strabane and Chartiers Township fire departments responded, as well as Ambulance and Chair. State police are investigating.
