Marshalls moving into Strabane Square

Work is underway in Strabane Square to bring a Marshalls department store to the shopping center.
Crews could be seen at 347 Washington Road, the former site of Dick’s Sporting Goods, this week as a “coming soon” sign for Marshalls went in the window.
Kristin Hullihen, South Strabane Township’s director of planning and zoning, said Marshalls recently acquired a building permit to conduct interior renovations at the building. Hullihen could not say when the store might be opening.
It was unclear if the Marshalls at Washington Crown Center would be moving its store to the Strabane Square site. Marshalls’ media department did not respond to emailed questions by Friday’s deadline.
Dick’s Sporting Goods recently moved to the Old Mill shopping center, leaving the Strabane Square location vacant.
Marshalls is owned by TJX Companies, the same parent company as TJ Maxx.
Like TJ Maxx, Marshalls offers clothing and various home goods, though with a larger selection of clothing and shoes for men.
