Dozens of protestors gathered in front of the Washington County Courthouse for a scheduled “Stop the Billionaire Takeover” rally. The Washington-Greene Central Labor Council, the local chapter of the AFL-CIO, organized the protest. People carried signs and chanted against the policies of Donald Trump’s administration and the Elon Musk-run Department of Government Efficiency. Donna Patrina, the president of the Washington-Greene Central Labor Council, carried a megaphone and led protestors in chants. Michael Hartung, president of the Westmoreland Central Labor Council, spoke about the United States Postal Service and how he believes it should be protected from the Department of Government Efficiency.
