A new Long John Silver’s fast-food restaurant is opening its doors Friday in North Franklin Township. The seafood chain is located at 1148 W. Chestnut St., next door to Burger King and McDonald’s. North Franklin Township Supervisor Bob Sabot said the restaurant had been issued its occupancy permit and could open “anytime they want.” According to Long John Silver’s social media, the eatery is opening at 10 a.m. The new location is not far from the site of an old Long John Silver’s at the former Washington Crown Center mall, which closed a few years ago.
