North Strabane Township police arrested a man Tuesday after he was accused of exposing himself in view of a bus stop while kids were being dropped off from school.

Scott Haffner, 55, faces two misdemeanor charges of indecent exposure and open lewdness.

Two parents called police at about 3:40 p.m. after allegedly seeing Haffner performing a sex act in front of his sliding glass door at 108 Hickory Circle, court paperwork states.

According to the criminal complaint, the parents had brought their 2-year-old children to see the school buses as elementary school students were dropped off at the intersection of Hickory Circle and Hunting Creek Road.

Court records state that Haffner was playing music loud enough to be heard from the bus stop. The parents told police when they looked over, they saw Haffner standing in the doorway of his home performing the sex act.

According to the complaint, Haffner’s genitals were visible.

Haffner denied the allegations when questioned by police.

District Judge John Bruner arraigned Haffner Tuesday night, and sent him to the Washington County jail without bond. Online court records state bond was denied due to Haffner presenting a “safety risk.”

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Nov. 25.
