Families throughout Washington County received a Thanksgiving meal delivered by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.

In partnership with All American Roofing and Appalachian Seamless, members of the sheriff’s office delivered Thanksgiving in a Box dinners to a dozen local school districts on Monday, who, in turn, provided the holiday dinners to families in need.

Each meal contained holiday sides and a gift card for a turkey or a meat of choice.

Thanksgiving in a Box is an annual tradition for the sheriff’s office, as part of its commitment to meet the needs of the community and to help provide holiday cheer, a department spokesperson said.
