While Washington County families prepared to celebrate Thanksgiving, 2000 Turkeys celebrated a record-setting fundraising campaign, raising more than $263,000 to provide a Thanksgiving meal to the county’s food-insecure residents.

2000 Turkeys, which launched 41 years ago, continues to gain momentum each year. This year’s campaign was highlighted by participation from individuals, companies, organizations, churches, and schools who stepped up to make sure their neighbors in need could enjoy a holiday meal with their loved ones.

2000 Turkeys, along with Food Helpers, Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank, and City MIssion Boxes of Love, thanks everyone for helping to make this year’s fundraiser a success, and for bringing joy to others this holiday season, when many Washington County families are struggling to make ends meet amid challenging economic times.

The board of 2000 Turkeys would like to acknowledge the partnerships formed with the community, local businesses, and philanthropic leaders, which played a pivotal role in driving the record-breaking success of this year’s drive.

Thank you, too, to AccountMaster Inc. of Washington for generously donating their time to provide bookkeeping services for 2000 Turkeys.
