Clairton man charged in Peters Township domestic incident

Peters Township police charged a man Tuesday after he was accused of assaulting and threatening a woman.
Ryan Khalid Williams, 28, of Clairton, faces felony charges of aggravated assault, strangulation, criminal mischief, and misdemeanors of theft by unlawful taking, terroristic threats and reckless endangerment.
According to the criminal complaint, at about 7:40 p.m. Monday police were called to the 200 block of Settlers Court.
Jennifer Schlata told officers Williams had come to her home to retrieve some personal belongings. Charging documents accuse Williams of dumping a bottle of bleach on Schlata and on her personal property.
Court documents state Williams pulled on the back of her shirt, making it difficult for her to breathe. According to the complaint, Williams grabbed a kitchen knife and threatened Schlata’s life.
Williams is also accused of destroying a laptop, furniture and an Apple watch.
There is an active warrant for Williams’ arrest.
