Food Helpers hosted its Taste Tour of Washington County, a celebration of global cuisine that brought together the region’s top food and beverage establishments last week at the Hollywood Casino at The Meadows in Washington.

LittleMoochi is a Food Helpers initiative that provides nutritious snack packs to thousands of children in school districts throughout Washington County each year.

More than 25 local restaurants, bars and breweries showcased their culinary talents at the Event Center World Tent, offering appetizers, entrees, desserts, pastries, and beverages from a variety of world cuisines.

Private Chef Frank Tokach said, “Helping out schools with food insecurity is on top of my list, especially in Washington County, as I grew up in Donora. Anything that I can do to give back to the community, I am 100% on board to help.”

George Omiros, President and CEO of Food Helpers, said the taste tour “is an opportunity to come together and directly support the health and well-being of children in our Washington County school districts.
