Police beat Sept. 30

MONONGAHELA
Threats: Tyler Comet Vayansky, 39, of Monongahela, was charged Friday by Monongahela police with terroristic threats and simple assault. According to the criminal complaint, shortly after 3:30 p.m. Friday police were called to Vayansky’s home in the 900 block of Sheridan Street. Charging documents accuse Vayansky of biting his brother’s finger and hitting his mother in the head. While in a holding cell, Vayansky allegedly threatened the life of a police officer. District Judge Louis McQuillan arraigned Vayansky Friday evening and sent him to the Washington County jail without bond.
SOUTH STRABANE
Break-in: John Patrick Conley III, 36, of Zelienople, was charged Sunday by South Strabane police with burglary, criminal trespassing, terroristic threats, simple assault and criminal mischief. According to the criminal complaint, at about 6:20 a.m. Sunday police were called to a home in the 1500 block of East Maiden Street. Charging documents state that Conley kicked the door in and was wielding a knife. Conley was allegedly looking for his wife, who had gone to the residence the previous night to get away from him. Witnesses at the home told police that Conley threatened to kill his wife and himself. Police found Conley parked two blocks away from the scene. District Judge Louis McQuillan arraigned Conley Sunday afternoon and sent him to the Washington County jail without bond.
