Local leaders including state Sen. Camera Bartolotta, North Strabane Township Board of Supervisors Chair Neil Kelly and state Rep. Tim O’Neal welcomed residents to the freshly inaugurated North Strabane Administration Building Tuesday afternoon.

North Strabane officials opted to purchase and renovate the former Lighthouse Electric Company property along Route 519 in 2024 after outgrowing the previous municipal building less than a mile down the road. Kelly said the township realized a cost savings of over $5 million by opting to renovate instead of fully replacing the previous building with new construction.

Township leaders are “relieved” to be out of the previous building and proud of the $5.4 million investment they made into the new building, which Kelly hopes will be a “showpiece” of the community for years to come, he said during the ribbon-cutting event.
