1 min read

State police arrested a Nottingham Township man accused of firing a gun toward his brother.

Vince Intrieri Cole, 23, faces felony charges of aggravated assault, and misdemeanors of simple assault and reckless endangerment.

According to the criminal complaint, at about 3:50 a.m. Wednesday, police were called to the 500 block of Munntown Road after Michael Cole reported that his brother had tried to kill him.

Charging documents allege that Vince Cole put the muzzle of a handgun against Michael Cole’s head, and that Michael Cole moved his head back as his brother fired a single shot that struck a living room window.

Michael Cole told investigators his nephew and his father were also in the room at the time.

Vince Cole called police while they were on their way and claimed he was afraid for his life and was defending himself, and that he had unloaded the gun.

Vince Cole was arraigned Wednesday afternoon before District Judge Phillippe Melograne, who sent him to the Washington County jail on $500,000 bond.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. Feb. 9.
