A Canton Township man was arrested Tuesday after he was accused of hitting a woman with a gun.

Greene Washington Regional Police Department charged David Booher, 34, with a felony of aggravated assault and a misdemeanor of terroristic threats.

According to the criminal complaint, shortly after 10:30 a.m. Tuesday police were called to the 90 block of Moon Road.

Booher’s girlfriend told police that he had tried to block her from entering their trailer. When she got inside, Booher allegedly struck her on the forehead with the barrel of his handgun and threatened her life.

Booher was arraigned Tuesday afternoon before District Judge Kelly Stewart, who sent him to the Washington County jail on $50,000 bond.
