Two Connellsville men killed in Westmoreland County vehicle accident
Two Connellsville men died in a single-vehicle accident along the Pennsylvania Turnpike near the Route 136 overpass in Westmoreland County Saturday morning.
Hunter Fronius and Raymond Foster died from blunt force injuries sustained from the crash, according to a release from the Westmoreland County Coroner’s office.
The release said Fronius was driving east on the turnpike when this Ford Explorer failed to negotiate a left curve and went off the south shoulder of the highway.
The SUV then traveled through a grassy embankment before striking a bridge abutment and rolling several times before it came to a stop on the driver’s side.
Neither was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident, according to the coroner’s report.
State police are investigating.
