Pedestrian dies after being struck by vehicle in Chartiers
The pedestrian who was killed after being struck by a car on Pike Street in Chartiers Township on Saturday morning has been identified.
According to the Washington County Coroners Office, Philip Frye, 21, of Meadowlands died at the scene after he was struck by a car traveling south near 524 Pike St., at around 2 a.m.
The accident remains under investigation.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene.
Assisting Chartiers Township police at the scene were Canonsburg Ambulance, the Chartiers Township Fire Department, and the PSP crash reconstruction unit.
