Fort Cherry graduating 59 students
Fort Cherry High School will hold its commencement on June 5 at 7 p.m. at the Fort Cherry High School gymnasium, with 59 students set to graduate.
Valedictorian is Shawn Webb and Salutatorian is Makenzie Amic.
Shawn is the son of Shawn Webb Sr. and Amy Robertson.
He was the top scorer in Washington County Academic League in 2024-25 and a member of the No. 1 team in Washington County Academic League in 2024. He earned the President’s Education Award.
Shawn was a recipient of the College Board National Rural and Small Town Recognition Program Award and the College Board First Generation Recognition Award.
He plans to attend Penn State University where he will major in nuclear engineering.
Makenzie is the daughter of Michael and Kathleen Amic.
She was chief editor of Publications, and was a member of the FFA, Student Council, and National Honor Society, and was a Chief Science Officer.
Makenzie was a varsity cheerleader and member of the varsity golf team, and the volleyball and track teams. She was Homecoming Queen and a member of the Prom Committee.
She will attend Washington & Jefferson College where she plans to major in biology on a pre-health track to become a physician assistant.
