Geraldine L. Skowirski Ward-Statler
Geraldine L. Skowirski Ward-Statler, 79, of Canonsburg, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, December 1, 2012, in her home, surrounded by her family.
She was born August 27, 1933, in Canonsburg, a daughter of the late George and Helen Oldshak Skowirski.
Mrs. Statler lived most of her life in Canonsburg, and she was Catholic.
Surviving are her loving companion for more than 40 years, Richard Donella; a son, Mark (Peggy) Ward III; daughters Marsha (Fred) Tonti and Melanie (Greg) Holtz, both of Canonsburg; five grandchildren, Mark D. Ward III, Shelby Tonti, Zachary Tonti, Jeremy (Abbey) Chambers and Tiffany Chambers; two great-grandchildren, Kylie Chambers and Luke Chambers-Fritz; a sister, Tessie Radosy; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are two sisters, Adale Buncic and Lorraine Doheny.
Friends are welcome from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Salandra Funeral Service Inc., Joseph P. Salandra, owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, 724-745-8120, where a blessing service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 6.
