Charles E. Beatty

Charles E. “Chuck” Beatty, 54, of Washington, died Thursday, December 6, 2012, in Donnell House, Washington.

He was born January 19, 1958, in Washington, a son of the late Frank R. and C. Mearl Rhoades Beatty.

Mr. Beatty was a 1977 graduate of McGuffey High School and was formerly employed by Golden Triangle Construction.

He enjoyed his family and hunting, but his passion in life was his motorcycles. He loved attending rallies in Sturgis, S.D., and Daytona, Fla.

Surviving are two sons, Robert C. (Courtney) Beatty of Virginia Beach, Va., and Colt A. Beatty of Claysville; two daughters, Nichole L. Beatty of Winston-Salem, N.C., and Tara M. Harps of Claysville; a brother, Robert D. (Paula) Beatty of Washington; a sister, Frankie (Jerry) Garrison of Washington; seven grandchildren, Stephen C. Walls II, Tymier Beatty, Kayden Willis, Tyler and Ashton Beatty, Kylar Schachtner and Cameron M. Boley; two nieces, Stevie Beatty and Yasmine Garrison; and four nephews, Levi and Chance Beatty and Kevin and Brennen Garrison.

Friends will be received from noon to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Piatt and Barnhill Funeral Home, 420 Locust Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, December 10, with the Rev. G. Duane Wolfe officiating.
