Sylvia Medvid
Sylvia Medvid, 88, born and raised in Bridgeville, died Saturday, December 8, 2012.
She was a lifelong member and Christian Mother with St. Barbara Church.
Mrs. Medvid enjoyed baking and spending time with her grandchildren.
She was the beloved wife of the late Nicholas Medvid Sr.; loving mother of Nicholas (Elaine) Medvid Jr., Robert (Marcia) Medvid and the late Kenneth (surviving spouse Debbie) Medvid; grandmother of Nick, Courtney, Kenny and Brian; and sister of Ernest and Frank Krek, Mary Ann Gordon and the late Joseph Jr., John and Felix Krek and Frances Marcinkewicz.
Friends are welcome from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday in Beinhauer-Fryer Funeral Home, 430 Washington Avenue, Bridgeville, 412-221-3800. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 11, in St. Barbara Church, 45 Prestley Road, Bridgeville. Interment will follow in St. Barbara Cemetery.
