Wayne A. Cusick
Wayne A. Cusick, 80, of Route 18, Burgettstown, passed away peacefully at 3:15 p.m. Saturday, December 29, 2012, in his home.
He was born January 29, 1932, in West Point, Ohio, a son of the late O.H. “Pete” and Elda Malone Cusick.
Mr. Cusick was a 1951 graduate of Lisbon (Ohio) David Anderson High School and worked as a dragline operator.
He was a member of First Church of the Nazarene in Weirton, W.Va., United Mine Workers of America and Operating Engineers.
Mr. Cusick loved to buy and sell goods at auctions.
Surviving are his wife, Kay Serish Cusick, whom he married November 24, 1999; daughters Cynthia (Dennis) Hillberry of Lisbon, and Pamela Davis of Ravenna, Ohio; sons Steven (Julie) Cusick of Weirton and Gerald (Chris) Cusick of North Carolina; sisters Ellen Lutz of Kentucky, Jane (Bob) Elsner of Indiana and Shirley (Bob) Thirion of Lisbon; brothers Lee (Janice) Cusick of Arizona, Allen Cusick of Indiana and Glen Cusick of Lisbon; four stepdaughters; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Deceased, in addition to his parents, are son Douglas Cusick; grandson Erick Davis; stepmother Grace Cusick Powell; brothers Carl, Earl, Bill and Jim Cusick; and sisters Lois Dutch, Florence Barrett, Mary Crawford, Helen Mansis and Marilyn Beverly.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home, 215 West Lincoln Way, Lisbon. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 5, in Lisbon Baptist Temple, 6428 Lisbon Road, Lisbon, with Pastor Charles Cusick officiating.
