Edith L. Kapaldo
Edith L. Kapaldo of Hawthorne Woods, South Strabane Township, formerly of Pittsburgh (Westwood), died Saturday, December 29, 2012.
She was born October 31, 1921, in West Virginia, a daughter of the late Elza and Alice Blosser Rohr.
She was the wife of the late Joseph Kapaldo, who died in July 1991.
Surviving are a son, Paul Joseph Kapaldo of North Olmsted, Ohio; a daughter, Ginger (Tate) Fulton of Washington; three grandsons, Joseph (Beth) Fulton of Washington, Anthony (Anne) Fulton of Falls Church, Va., and Michael (Jill) Fulton of Washington; and three great-grandchildren, Greta Ruth, William Tate and Miles Spencer Fulton.
Mrs. Kapaldo was a homemaker most of her life; however, she worked as a short order cook at Village Dairy, Noble Manor Shopping Center and for Grants Department Store in Crafton.
She loved her family, gardening, crossword puzzles and dogs.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home Inc., 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pleasant Hills, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, January 4. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Park. http://www.jeffersonmemorial.biz
