Dixie Lee Barnes
Dixie Lee Barnes, 66, of Bethel Park, died Tuesday, November 6, 2012, in her home.
She was born May 4, 1946, in Cecil Township, a daughter of the late Elmer and Evelyn Witherow Cross.
Mrs. Barnes was former member of Venice Presbyterian Church.
She was a homemaker, who enjoyed shopping, eating out and spending fun hours with her grandson
Surviving are two daughters, Wendy Lee Barnes and fiancé David Steffan of Bethel Park and Cheri Lynn (George) Kademenos of Canonsburg; a grandson, Andreas Kademenos of Canonsburg; six brothers, Vern (Sue) Cross, James “Sonny” (Bona) Cross and Elmer (Margie) Cross, all of Washington, Harry David Cross of Scenery Hill, Ronnie Cross of Avella and Darrell Cross of Eighty Four; and three sisters, Evelyn (John “Butterball”) Herriott of Southview, Kay (Joe) Senay of Cecil and Jane (Ed) Goodwell of Wolfdale.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Raymond Barnes, in 2008; a daughter, Cindy Cross; and two brothers, Robert and Dale Cross.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Coleman-Taylor Funeral Services, 3378 Millers Run Road, (Route 50) Cecil, where a service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, November 9, with Pastor Beverly Blair officiating.
