Melville G. Householder
Melville G. Householder, 85, of Finleyville, died Monday, October 15, 2012, in Jefferson Regional Medical Center, Jefferson Hills Borough.
He was born February 4, 1927, in Patton Township, Monroeville, a son of the late Melville H. and Bertha Grimm Householder.
Mr. Householder was retired as a self-employed contractor.
He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.
Mr. Householder was a member of Baldwin Community United Methodist Church, Loyal Order of Moose 172 and American Legion Post 613, both of Finleyville, and Mon Valley Honor Guard and Firing Squad.
Surviving are five nephews, Melville and James Witter, William Reid Morrow and Scott and Rick Householder; seven nieces, Patricia Duff, Sylvia Kelley, Nancy Sloan, Alyce Liber, Marjorie Anne Evans, Linda Barco and Lisa Ortega; a brother-in-law, Frank Witter; two sisters-in-law, Gloria Householder and Mary Morrow; and many cousins.
Deceased are his wife, Marjorie Morrow Householder; a brother, James Householder; a sister, Bertha Witter; and a brother-in-law, Reid Morrow.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 10, in Baldwin United Methodist Church, 5001 Baptist Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15236. Arrangements are under the direction of Kegel Funeral Home Inc., Finleyville.
