Betty J. Brown, 87, of Washington, died unexpectedly Wednesday, April 3, 2013, in the Washington Hospital emergency room.

Edward Allen Carrico, 72, of New Freeport, died at 4:31 p.m. Wednesday, April 3, 2013, in UPMC-Mercy hospital, Pittsburgh.

Paul Michael Daugherty, 35, of Washington, died unexpectedly Wednesday, April 3, 2013, in Washington Hospital.

He was born October 7, 1977, in Washington, a son of Demaris Hood Daugherty of West Alexander and the late Joseph E. Daugherty.

Mr. Daugherty was a graduate of McGuffey High School.

He enjoyed camping, fishing and going for rides with family.

Mr. Daugherty attended Lighthouse Community Church.

Surviving, in addition to his mother, are two brothers, Albert Daugherty of Washington and Kerry (Jen) Morris of Lone Pine; two sisters, Crystal (Kenneth) Morris of West Alexander and Christene (Barry) O’Neal of Belle Vernon; four nieces, Brandy, Emilee, Danyel and Lynzee; four nephews, Nathan, Dustin, Anthony and Bradley; and his caregivers, Jason, Cindy, Janelle, Nikki, Daryl and James.

Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 8, with the Rev. Duane Wolfe officiating. Burial will follow in West Alexander Cemetery. Louise C. Furno Hillman, 93, of Finleyville, died Wednesday, April 3, 2013.

She was the beloved wife of the late Wilfred “Willie”; loving mother of Edward (Diane) of Summerville, S.C., Louis “Sam” (Wendy) of Oakdale, James of Finleyville and the late Michelle; sister of the late Aldo Furno and Mary Bartell; grandmother of Sherri; and great-grandmother of Ashlyn.

Mrs. Hillman was a stenographer for Metropolitan Life and a member of Library Golden Agers.

She was an organist for St. Joan of Arc Church for 50 years and was the church secretary.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in David J. Henney Funeral Home, 6364 Library Road, Route 88, Library. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 6, in St. Joan of Arc Church, 6414 Montour Street, South Park, PA 15129. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the church.

Services for Shelia Bernell Pallet, who died March 29, 2013, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 6, in Kingdom Hall, Washington.

Edna Rose Snyder Sluganski, 79, of Pittsburgh, formerly of Carmichaels, died Thursday, April 4, 2013, in Jefferson Regional Medical Center, Pittsburgh.

Family and friends are welcome from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the hour of service, Monday, April 8, in Yoskovich Funeral Home, Carmichaels, 724-966-5500. A complete obituary will be published in a later edition.

Clementine Arbutis Wisnosky, 88, of Glendale, Calif., formerly of Washington, died Wednesday, April 3, 2013, in her home.
