Gary Lee Zimmerman
Gary Lee “Zip” Zimmerman, 56, of Waynesburg, died at 2:27 a.m. Sunday, April 7, 2013, in Waynesburg.
He was born Wednesday, March 13, 1957, in Waynesburg, a son of Stanford “Zip” Zimmerman of Waynesburg and the late Isabel McDonald Zimmerman.
Mr. Zimmerman was a member of Washington Street United Methodist Church in Waynesburg.
He was a member of the Pipeliners Laborers Local Union 1058.
Mr. Zimmerman loved his family and friends. He was a hard worker who loved to travel and go to movies and wrestling matches. He was a “Jeopardy!” watcher and was hard to beat in any category. He worked as a laborer for various pipeline companies all over the United States.
In addition to his father, surviving are a son, Jamin Baxmeyer of Chico, Calif.; two grandsons, Bradley and Jaden; two sisters, Nancy Ketchem of Waynesburg and Joyce Smith of Roanoke, Va.; three brothers, Blair and Chuck Zimmerman, both of Waynesburg, and Scott Zimmerman of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased is a brother, Danny Allen “Zip” Zimmerman.
Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home Inc., Daryl L. Throckmorton, owner/director, 197 North Maiden Street, Waynesburg, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 10, with the Rev. William Parker officiating.
