Andrew Luketich
Andrew “Sonny” Luketich, 71, of Bentleyville, died Saturday, April 13, 2013, in his home, after a brief but difficult battle with cancer.
He was born in Bentleyville September 4, 1941, a son of Andrew and Marth Smith Luketich.
Mr. Luketich was a graduate of Bentleyville High School and Barre School of Memorial Art in Vermont.
For 47 years, he was the owner and operater of Luketich Memorial Co. in Bentleyville.
He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed classic cars.
Mr. Luketich was a member of Croatian Fraternal Union Lodge 354, Cokeburg, and a life member of National Rifle Association.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Ann Jones Luketich, whom he married July 24, 1976.
Also surviving are two sons and a daughter-in-law, Andrew R. Luketich and Michael D. and Amber Luketich, all of Bentleyville; his cherished grandchildren, Ethan, Benjamin and Delilah Luketich; two nieces whom he helped raise, Patricia Medina of Pittsburgh and Maria Medina Gaso, husband “Buzzy” and children Jeeno and Zyron of Bentleyville; and many other nieces, nephew and extended family that were such a great joy to him during family gatherings and vacations.
There will be no public visitation. Private services will be held Tuesday, April 16. Interment will be in Beallsville Cemetery. Leonard M. Pavlic Funeral Homes Inc., Bentleyville, are in charge of arrangements.
