Dolly Maxine McFadden Ottena
Dolly Maxine McFadden Ottena, 81, of Washington, died Friday, April 12, 2013, in Country Meadows Nursing Home, South Fayette Township, following a lengthy illness.
She was born October 26, 1931, in Baltimore, Md., a daughter of the late Richard Charles Sr. and Mabel Kelley McFadden.
Mrs. Ottena was a member of St. Hilary Church and was previously an altar society member at St. Mary and Ann’s Church, Marianna.
She was a licensed practical nurse at Western Center for more than 20 years, retiring in 1993.
Mrs. Ottena was very active in Cameron Wellness Center Aquacise. She was a huge Steelers fan and loved her cat, Trixie.
On January 6, 1950, she married John Joseph Ottena Sr., who died March 9, 2011.
Surviving are a son, Barry (Margaret) Ottena of Houston; two daughters, Rebecca (Doug) Burig and Regina (Jerry) Coleman, both of Washington; three brothers, Richard Charles McFadden Jr. of San Antonio, Texas, Walter W. (Sherlee) McFadden of Goldsboro, N.C., and Robert E. (Edie) McFadden of Canton, Ohio; a sister, Sherley (Gil) Gilfedder of Washington; eight grandchildren, John and Christopher Ottena, Erica Jestat Garrison, Ashley Jestat, Linsley Burig, Gene Orlandi, Christin Orlandi Brown and Alexa Ferrari; and four great-grandchildren, Karly, Mya, Geno and Carter.
Deceased is a son, John J. Ottena Jr.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, April 22, in St. Hilary Church, Washington. Internment will follow in Washington Cemetery.
