Anthony Law
Anthony “Terry” Law, 71, of Monongahela, died Thursday, April 18, 2013, in Donnell House, Washington.
He was born December 20, 1941, in New Eagle, a son of Anthony T. Jr. and Margaret E. Papak Law.
Mr. Law was a graduate of Monongahela High School, Class of 1960.
He retired with more than 30 years of service with General Motors, Fisher Body Division in West Mifflin.
Mr. Law was an U.S. Air Force veteran, serving during the Vietnam War, and a member of St. Damien of Molokai Parish, Transfiguration Church in Monongahela.
He was a former member of Mon Valley Firing Squad and Honor Guard.
Mr. Law loved being outdoors: hunting, fishing, boating and working in his vegetable garden.
Surviving are his wife, Pauline Verduci Law, with whom he celebrated 44 years of marriage July 26, 2012; brother Dennis Law and wife Mary of Greensburg; sister Cindy Leavy and husband John of Hunker; three brothers-in-law, Alex Verduci and wife Marlene of Ocean Side, Calif., Joseph Verduci of Imperial and Francis Verduci and wife Joni of Monongahela; five nephews; and a niece.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Frye Funeral Home Inc., 427 West Main Street, Monongahela. A blessing service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday, April 22, in the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Transfiguration Church, Monongahela, with the Rev. William Terza, pastor, as celebrant. Committal services and interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery with military honors accorded by Mon Valley Firing Squad and Honor Guard.
