William D. Allen Jr.
William D. Allen Jr., 45, of Canonsburg, died unexpectedly Thursday, April 18, 2013, in Canonsburg General Hospital.
He was born November 15, 1967, in Washington, a son of William Sr. and Charlotte Murphy Allen of Washington.
Mr. Allen was a 1986 graduate of Trinity High School and a graduate of Ohio Valley General Hospital School of Nursing.
He was a registered nurse for 20 years working in several area hospitals.
Most important to him was the time he spent with his wife and daughters, whom he adored. He also enjoyed fishing, landscaping, home repair and remodeling.
On June 3, 1994, he married Lisa Kuzy, who survives.
Surviving, in addition to his wife and parents, are two daughters, Isabelle and Caris Allen; a sister, Dena Taufer (Bill) of East Washington; a brother, Eric Allen (Burnadette) of Canonsburg; a father-in-law, Nicholas Kuzy (Wendy) of Eighty Four; a mother-in-law, Mary Jones (David) of Washington; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, owner/supervisor, 27 Cherry Avenue, Houston, PA 15342, where services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, April 22. Interment will follow in Oak Spring Cemetery, Canonsburg.
