Lorraine Hall Gressly
Lorraine Hall Gressly, 82, of Mercer, formerly of Waynesburg, died Monday, April 29, 2013, in Avalon Springs Nursing Center, Mercer.
She was born Thursday, February 26, 1931, in Pittgas, a daughter of the late Harold Hall and Gladys Jackson Hall.
Mrs. Gressly was a long time active member of First Baptist Church in Waynesburg, having been a member for more than 35 years.
She enjoyed traveling all over the country and gardening. She also enjoyed singing.
Mrs. Gressly worked as a nurse in the Greene County Memorial Hospital emergency room until her retirement in 1993.
Her husband, Francis L. Gressly, whom she married December 13, 1952, died March 18, 2010.
Surviving are two daughters and husbands, Pam (Philip) Erdos of Mercer and Bobbie (Greg) Perkins of Sweetser, Ind.; a son and wife, B. Keith (Molly) Gressly of Lebanon, Ohio; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Faye George and Jean Shultz, both of Uniontown; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased is a sister, Betty Eck.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 7 p.m. Friday, May 3, in Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home Inc., Daryl L. Throckmorton, owner/director, 197 North Maiden Street, Waynesburg, where services will be conducted at 7 p.m. with Dr. Edward Peirce officiating.
