Pleiger Plastics employee served in Vietnam

Robert Lloyd Cox, 61, of Washington, died unexpectedly Friday, August 2, 2013, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh.

He was born November 3, 1951, in Washington, a son of Charles E. Cox of Washington and Fonnie Poland of Washington.

Mr. Cox graduated from Trinity High School and served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam.

He was employed as a purchasing agent for Pleiger Plastics for 25 years. He enjoyed painting, fishing, watching television and using computers.

On May 27, 1977, he married Debra Louise Peel, who survives.

Also surviving are a son, Christopher Martin Cox of Washington; two brothers, Charles E. Cox of Prosperity and Donald Cox of Ohio; a sister, Donna Callahan of Little Rock, Ark.; and stepmother Rita Cox.

There will be no public visitation. Memorial contributions may be made to National Kidney Foundation, 3109 Forbes Avenue, Suite 101, Pittsburgh, PA 15213. Arrangements are being handled by William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., Washington.
