Anna D. LaSalvia, 88, of Washington, died Sunday, August 4, 2013, in Evergreen Personal Care Home, Washington.
She was born December 4, 1924, in Washington, a daughter of the late Gabriel and Concetta Catanese Insana.
Mrs. LaSalvia was employed by Brockway Glass, Plant 11, until her retirement in 1979.
She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Washington.
Mrs. LaSalvia enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
On July 26, 1944, she married Carmon LaSalvia, who died in 1990.
Surviving are a daughter, Linda (Michael) Hardoby of Canonsburg; a son, Carmon (Sandie) LaSalvia Jr. of Washington; two brothers, Tony (Georgette) Insana of Canonsburg and Frank (Jean) Insana of Washington; a sister, Nancy Fish Podboy of Washington; four grandchildren, Chad Underkoffler Jr. of Alexandria, Va., Dana (Michael) Ledger and Adele (Michael) Barton, both of Washington, and Sara LaSalvia of Bethel Park; three great-grandchildren, Mikayla DeMarino, Emma Ledger and Tein Barton, all of Washington; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are a sister, Mary Ann Roux, and a nephew, Robert Roux.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in Piatt and Barnhill Funeral Home, 420 Locust Avenue, Washington. A funeral liturgy will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 6, in Immaculate Conception Church, Washington, with the Rev. William P. Feeney as celebrant. Interment will follow in Washington Cemetery.
