Grant Warren Barkley, 57, of Harmony, passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2013, while under the care of UPMC-Passavant hospital in Cranberry Township.
He was born June 24, 1956, in Ellwood City, a son of the late Pierce Edward and Helen Lutz Barkley.
Mr. Barkley previously owned Barkley Excavating.
He was a loving father, brother, fiancé and grandfather who will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.
Surviving are his fiancé, Angela “Angie” Dent; a son, Travis Barkley and wife Brianna of Greensboro; a daughter, Tara Bruno and husband Carmen; seven grandchildren, Gianni, Ava and Isabella Bruno, Pierce, Dona Jean, Gunner and Bruce Barkley; and brothers Kenneth and Dale Barkley.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond Barkley, who passed away in 1965.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, August 11, in First Presbyterian Church of Greensboro, corner of Clear and Second streets, with the Rev. Dr. Bob Randolph officiating. Friends are invited to a meal and refreshments following the service at Greensboro Log Cabin.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Boylan Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 324 East Grandview Avenue, Zelienople, PA 16063. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his honor in support of First Presbyterian Church of Greensboro, Attn: The Rev.
