Raymond A. Haspel, 83, of Eldersville, died Tuesday, August 6, 2013, in Weirton (W.Va.) Geriatric Center.
He was born February 26, 1930, in Powhatan, Ohio, a son of the late William and Martha Ritchie Haspel.
Prior to retirement, Mr. Haspel was employed by Weirton Steel Corp. in the tin mill. He enjoyed bowling, was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and followed all sports, especially watching his grandchildren’s sporting events.
Surviving are his children, Raymond, Jr. (Tammy) Haspel of Follansbee, W.Va., Robert (Barbara) Haspel of Colliers, W.Va., Tim Haspel of Weirton, Greg (Nicole) Langston of Bulger, Linda Link of Eldersville and Janet (Greg) Schultz of Grove City; a brother, Clifford Haspel of Weirton; a sister, Dorothy Howard of Burgettstown; 16 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are his wife, Virginia Haspel; four brothers, John, Bill, Ernest and Kenneth Haspel; and a sister, Lucille Haspel.
