Beloved wife, loving mother
Emma Sue “Susie” Engle, 91, of McMurray, went to her heavenly home Monday, August 12, 2013.
She was the beloved wife of the late Paul Edward Engle; loving mother of Barbara (Joe) Bardzil, Sherry Armstrong (Laurie) and Nancy Engle (Bill); caring grandmother of Michael (Michelle) Bardzil, Mark (Elaine) Bardzil, Debbie (Joe) Pugh, Cathy (Derek) Coughnouer, Matthew Armstrong, Amy (Jon) Fung, Stephen (Val) Supinski and Jonathan Supinski; and great-grandmother of J.C., Trevor, Morgan, Julia, Caitie, Meghan, Eddie, Anica and Hayley.
Also surviving are numerous special nieces, nephews and friends.
Deceased are two sisters and a brother.
Mrs. Engle was a member of Southminster Presbyterian Church in Mt. Lebanon. For several years, she sang in the church choir, assisted with Sunday and Bible schools and was on the women’s auxiliary.
She was a Girl Scout leader and served on the Parent Teacher Association.
Mrs. Engle’s artwork won many awards. She sat on Peters Township Library Board and was instrumental in raising money to build the new library.
Of all her achievements, she would tell you that her greatest accomplishment was raising the family that she loved so much.
Friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Beinhauer Funeral Home, 2828 Washington Road, McMurray, 724-941-3211. Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, August 15, in Southminster Presbyterian Church, 799 Washington Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15228. Please meet at the church. Interment will be held in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Township.
